Kylen's first day at Presby Preschool.

Cheese!
Typical goofy Ky

His favorite Buzz Lightyear backpack

I still can't believe he is old enough to be in preschool!

Today was the day Kylen had been waiting for all summer. In theory, he was so ready to go to preschool and play. In reality, he still wasn't too sure about leaving mommy behind. Anyone, that really knows Ky this isn't a shock. He has yet to stay the full time in nursery at church. He stays with my parents fine, but he complains about it the first few minutes. He didn't even want me to leave him in his classroom last night for preschool orientation. So, I was a little nervous dropping him off this morning. Surprisingly he did ok. He resisted getting out of the car at first, then one of the teachers picked him up and then he walked right into the school! And, so for the first time in 8 years I drove off without any kids in my car! I'll admit, I did get a little sad but I'm enjoying this new "mom" stage and knowing that Ky is having fun helps.

When I picked him up, his teacher Mrs. Lafountain said he had a good day. He was a little sad, but other than that he did well. Tomorrow they get to do playdough so he is really excited about it. Now it's official...I have all 3 kids in school!

First Day Of School!

I can't believe that this guy

is a Kindergartner today!

And, this guy is a Third Grader!

This summer has flown by so fast!

Jayden and Talan have become best buds this summer. Yes, they still fought a lot, but they wanted to do everything together inspite of that. These two had many sleepovers with eachother in the basement and played together non-stop. They are so excited to go to school together and looked so happy as they sat beside eachother on the bus this morning. As much as I'm looking forward to the peace and quiet I'm really going to miss these two today!

Now, it's just Kylen and I until he starts preschool next week. I will have an empty house three days a week, for the first time in eight years! While, I get a little sad thinking about how fast time flies...I'm loving this new stage in motherhood!

Double JJ Ranch...

My beautiful horse named Mater
Jarrad's horse was named Regal

Picture in front of the old town

I look a little to happy to be in jail

Jarrad looks like a monkey in this pic. :)

This past Sunday, Jarrad and I celebrated our 12 year anniversary! Instead of getting each other something we usually go on a fun trip or night away. This year, it was really hard for us to figure out what to do. We couldn't decide between doing something adventurous or relaxing. After searching on the internet forever I came across a place called The Double JJ Ranch. It was 3 1/2 hours away and it was a resort that had indoor water slides, golf and horseback riding. We decided to give it a try because it sounded like a lot of fun.

The resort indoor waterpark was great. We did that first and had a blast. It wasn't crowded at all, so we walked on to every slide. It was quite a workout going up all those stairs though, Jarrad had it worse since he was stuck carrying up the double tube. :) We then had an awesome steak dinner at the resort, it was so good I didn't even use steak sauce! That's huge for me...I love my A1 steak sauce.

Now onto our cabin...it was pretty ghetto. The cabin itself was pretty cute, but if I'd been thinking about it I would've taken pictures to post. It stated on the website that it had a queen size bed. We we got there we found out the Queen size bed was two twin beds put together with a queen sheet to connect the two beds. Nice, huh? The curtains were made out of burlap sacks and were completely see thru...extra nice touch! If made for some funny conversation and we laughed a lot about it. The tv was really fuzzy and had crap channels, so decided to drive 30 minutes and see the movie Friends with Benefits.

The best part of the whole trip was the horseback riding we did on Saturday. It was an hour ride and it was beautiful! My horse Mater was the sweetest thing and was such a good horse. Jarrad's horse Regal was complete opposite of mine and had quite the attitude. Seemed like a good match to me. :) We did a trotting ride and a little bit of a canter, which knowing how rough trotting was, we definitely would have picked canter the next time....much smoother! It was a blast and we wanted to go again as soon as we got back, but we needed to head back home.

We're not sure if we'll ever go back again, but we had a great time together! It was fun and sooo much better than doing the traditional date thing of just movie and dinner. Here's to another fun filled 12 years!
