Turning....31!

This past Tuesday, I turned the big 31! I'm not really fond of being in my thirties, but I deal with it because I don't have a lot of choice about it. :) Even with turning another year older, I still had a great birthday. Jayden's school was cancelled due to weather, so I was able to spend the day relaxing with all my boys. I didn't even have gymnastics practice, so that was a added bonus to the day. Then, my parents came over and watched the kids while Jarrad and I got to go to dinner at The Boathouse. That was a great present in itself, since gymnastics has been keeping me pretty busy. It was so nice to have a dinner minus needy children.

Jarrad bought me a Nook and an itunes card, which sums up what I love to do...read and listen to music. The Nook is very addicting I have found out and might be a very bad thing for our bank account. Jarrad should be very worried...good thing I do the bills. :) It was a great day and even though I'm a year older, I'm so greatful for my awesome life!

Talan turns 5!!!!

I can't believe that this little guy turned

Opening his Ipod touch

Once again, Jarrad did an awesome job decorating T's cake

Little brother had to help.

Yesterday, Talan turned 5 years old! I still cannot believe he is that old already and that he will start Kindergarten in the fall! I swear he was just born. Everyone tells you that your kids grow up fast, but I never expected it to go at warp speed. :)
We did a little family party with my Dad at our house this year, since I'm super busy with gymnastics right now. I'm so thankful that I didn't have a meet on his birthday, so I could spend quality time with him. A little while back, I gave Jayden my old Ipod. Talan has been jealous ever since because he loves music. So, when he birthday was approaching I asked him if he wanted an ipod nano for his birthday. He of course wanted one, but little did I realize that the new nanos are tiny. There was no way I was buying him something that small because it would be lost in a day. So, long story short we ended up buying him an ipod touch( got a good deal on it from Apple). He absolutely loves it and knows how to work it better than me already. Jayden is extremely jealous and now that what he wants for his birthday. :) He also got some pretty cool gifts from Grandpa Lipply and a couple of small toys from us. He'll head down to Lafayette this weekend and clean up some more from Grandma and Grandpa Asay. So needless to say, he's had a pretty awesome birthday.
Talan is such a fun kid to be around. There's not a day that goes by that he doesn't make me laugh. He's so loving and cuddly and is a great helper. We're so lucky to have him in our family! We love you Talan! Happy Birthday, kiddo!

Winter Fun

This past Wednesday everyone in the family had a snow day, including Jarrad!!! I think everyone was needing one and the kids loved having their Dad home to play in the snow with. I just wanted to post a few pictures I took while the kids were playing. Nothing better than spending time with my family!

My walking hive

We have been dealing with sickness after sickness in our house the last couple of weeks. Last week Jayden missed 3 days of school, I think he had the flu. Last Monday, I took Ky and Jayden to the doctor since they both had fevers. Jayden had a virus aka flu and Ky had an ear infection. They gave Ky a script for amoxicillian and we were on our way.

6 Days Later....

Ky deciding that he's now allergic to his antibiotic

So back to the doctor we went, where we were sent directly back to a room because they weren't sure if he was contagious or not. Of course, it was just hives, but I have to admit it looked a lot worse than what the pictures even show. I felt so bad for him, since a couple of year back I had my own issues with hives and I tell everyone, I'd much rather have c-sections than hives! He kept saying, "I itchy mom." Poor little man. They sent us off with Zyrtec and told us to call back if he didn't get better by the next day. He's doing a lot better, the hives are fading...thank goodness! I hope our family is on the mend now. I'm so ready for our Disney vacation in April!
